Hi, friends! Hoping to complete your home with a lovable Cockapoo? That perfect pup just might be waiting for all your snuggles at Columbia River Cockapoos! We are a small, family run, ethical breeding program focused on multigenerational miniature and toy Cockapoos. Along the Columbia River in a simple Oregonian town known for its watermelons, we are down to earth, yet extremely passionate about producing outstanding Cockapoo companions. From birth to joining their perfect furever family, our pups are raised with love in our home. Exposure to the sounds, smells and excitement of life in a family of 11 people, 4 other dogs, chickens and sheep helps prepare and EMPOWER PUPS to confidently join just about any family!
Our Columbia River Cockapoo story began about 3 years ago. Depression has affected me for most my life. I was working at our kids' elementary school as a special Ed assistant when the anti-depression meds I was on strangely took away most of my vision. I had to quit my job and the meds. My vision returned thankfully! As an alternative to medications to help deal with my depression, I got my first Cockapoo, Lottie Lou, a low-shedding, emotional support dog. She changed my life! I am beyond grateful to help bring this joy to others' lives now! These puppies are so incredibly special to me, and I am completely dedicated to finding the right families who need these lovable furry companions in their lives!

Genetic and temperament tested
Canine genetics fascinates me and is essential to the goal of our program. Each doggy mom and dad has been genetic health tested, and clear of all breed relevant health issues. Breedings are thoughtfully paired to continue Cockapoo lines that are not only adorable and low shedding, but excellent in health, temperament, trainability, resilience, confidence and companionship!
Ethical breeding practices
Columbia River Cockapoos is committed to ethical breeding practices and keeping our pups out of shelters. As a small breeding program, we concede breeding only with a full waitlist, and produce two exclusive litters a year, allowing pups an abundance of individual care and affection. Health of our mamas is always a priority. We feed a TOP QUALITY DIET and ensure ample time to rest and recover between litters. At times, families face unforeseeable challenges, and we will happily welcome back any Columbia River Cockapoo pups to our home (insisted in our contract).
